Building trust & creating the future requires profound intimacy.

Neil spent months with me dissecting my behavior and communication and he challenged the emotional and mental state that I brought to work. He helped me be more honest with myself about some of the internal dialogues I was having, and how those dialogues were affecting how I show up to the job. He’s a master at asking me the tough questions I had avoided asking myself, and then calling BS on my answers when I didn’t dig deep enough, all while maintaining a safe space.

I Work with Dreamers and Change Makers

  • Icon of a lightbulb with a rocket emerging from it

    Revolutionary Visionaries

They are creators, business leaders. Movement & difference makers who are catalysts for the future.

They are action-oriented, strategic, both burdened and compelled by their emerging vision and commitment to point their life, business, or community in a direction toward a new future.

Revolutionary visionaries want personal growth, lead from the front, and expect returns on their efforts.

  • Icon of a profile of a human head with internal gears and a lightbulb inside

    Mindful Achievers

They are business leaders, change catalysts, and leader-level specialists wanting to thrive as leaders in front for their functions, teams, and organizations.

They are faced with polarities and conflicts, disengagement, misalignment, stress, a myriad of people issues, and know they need strong relationships to achieve business results.

Mindful achievers want vertical growth and promotions, expanded roles, and more income.

Both Revolutionary Visionaries and Mindful Achievers are purpose driven.

They experience their sense of purpose somatically.

Their bodies know when they are “off” purpose.

They know when their focus and path are challenged by external forces or internal self-limiting beliefs

Yet, because of who they are, there is no self-denial of the energetic why and meaning they have.

They are dedicated and compelled to turn toward their purpose.

Working together, we take inward and outward journeys, exploring what I call Passage Making to the Profound (P2) to develop new ways of being and doing, to draw the future into focus, to convert ideas and vision into action, and to achieve desired results.

How willing are you to commit to the person you want to become, the future you want to create, and the results you want to achieve?

If you want to build a boat, do not drum up people to collect wood and assign them work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea.

I am a COACH; leadership, relationship, and wellbeing specialist; coach EDUCATOR; coach MENTOR; coaching SUPERVISOR, and trusted REFLECTIVE PARTNER.

I am a SAILOR, inspired by the nature of the sea and the wind; they are energetic fields, fluid in form, tranquil and fierce, active and still. Always emerging and becoming. The system of sailing, the sea, and the wind offers rich insights into personal leadership and structures and dynamics of teams and systems.

I am an initiated SHAMANIC ENERGY MEDICINE PRACTITIONER. Everything is energy. Energy is active. Energy exists in the visible and invisible fields around us. It supports us, heals us, and can harms us. I work with energy to support human healing.

You sense your future. Will you create it?

The world evolves at a furious pace. You are driven to address the pressing challenges and become the person who thrives in it and creates from it.

How will you bring these intentions together?

Open your eyes and look within. Are you satisfied with the life you’re living?

Passage Maker to the Profound (P2)

This trusted journey from vision to achievement takes you through rousing examinations of self and behaviors, leading to significant shifts toward alignment, achievement, and fulfillment.

P2 focuses on relating, self-awareness, authenticity, and systems awareness as a path to achieving results. More than looking above the surface to a destination, it is also an intimate look below the surface at the influencing currents and tides of values, self, attitudes, beliefs, purpose, meaning-making, and energy management.

Choose your Passage

Two white globes in perfect balance on a board resting on a pivot point. One ball has the word Being, the other has the word Doing.

We make creative use of nature’s tools and metaphors, particularly those of air, wind, water, and movement. Anticipate the use of best practices in coaching from models in adult development, relationship systems, Co-Active Leadership, Somatic Leadership, Emotional and Social Intelligence, and Wellbeing. Together, we confront and inquire, integrate with your real-world actions and practices, and always balance the stillness of being and the action of doing.

Testimonials

"Having a coach I could trust with such complex and difficult discussions was paramount."

I had the privilege and pleasure of working with Neil through very trying times for our justice system. Together we tackled the issues involving race equity in the prosecution setting and we did so in the aftermath of George Floyd’s murder and through the January 6 insurrection. As the elected Solicitor (D.A.), having a coach I could trust with such complex and difficult discussions was paramount. Neil speaks volumes with only a few words. He has an uncanny ability to lead with understatement. Over our time together, Neil not only earned my trust, he earned my respect.

"The opportunity to work with Neil is something no leader should ever pass up."

From our first session to the last, Neil was able to provide a mix of insight, listening, and wisdom that helped me identify areas of blindspots I'd never had to examine and, in doing so, helped me to become a better leader - the kind of leader that I wanted to become but wasn't sure how to be. Neil connects the dots with relevant examples, practical suggestions on actions to take that were immediately applicable and effective in a work setting, and a spacious and loving presence that allowed me to go at my own pace but without ever taking the easy way out.

"It's been a game changing experience for me."

Neil spent months with me dissecting my behavior and communication and he challenged the emotional and mental state that I brought to work. He helped me be more honest with myself about some of the internal dialogues I was having, and how those dialogues were affecting how I show up to the job. He's a master at asking me the tough questions I had avoided asking myself, and then calling BS on my answers when I didn't dig deep enough, all while maintaining a safe space.

I had tried to work with other executive coaches before. None of them, particularly those that were White, could even understand the complicated dynamics of being a Black man navigating majority White corporate spaces. As a African American man doing the same thing he understood my fears, experiences, and most importantly my past scars, and he helped me put that dimension of my problem in a really helpful perspective.

Neil was able to create a safe space. I could open up and allow myself to be vulnerable."

I've had multiple opportunities to participate in one-on-one coaching sessions throughout my career, but none of them have been more effective or memorable than my coaching sessions with Neil. I've had other coaches where I felt like I was just another appointment on the calendar, another item on their to do list, so I treated the sessions the same way and really got nothing out of them. That was never the case with Neil-he was always present in the moment and nudged me from the beginning.

Throughout our coaching sessions, Neil was able to create a safe space. I could open up and allow myself to be vulnerable. This combination of vulnerability, being present in the moment, and trusting Neil's process resulted in an incredible journey of self-exploration and personal growth. I would highly recommend working with Neil!

"I needed to reflect deeply and honestly about myself, my tendencies, what I’m good at and comfortable with, and what I’m not."

When Neil and I were introduced to each other, I was at a point in my career where I was seeking to grow from being an excellent practitioner – primarily focused on particular clients and projects – to being someone who also was a purposeful leader and an essential colleague. I wanted to build towards my personal success, of course, and I also wanted very much to become a more capable and effective support to my firm as an institution, my colleagues, and our clients.

I needed to reflect deeply and honestly about myself, my tendencies, what I’m good at and comfortable with, and what I’m not – and then to map that back onto career ambitions and many complex relationships. That’s not an easy task!

Working through all that with Neil was a pleasure. He cultivates a way of being rather than focusing on what amounts to mere tips and tricks. Together, we developed tools and habits of mind that I now use across the wide range of relationships, opportunities, and setbacks that I encounter. It’s like having a compass that I can use over and over again to move with purpose through unfamiliar and changing territory.
